HAkron 3000 is the 3rd installment of the completely student-run 24-hour hackathon at The University of Akron. Come hang out in the beautiful new C. Blake McDowell Law Center the weekend of October 6-7 and create that project you've always had the idea for!

Eligibility

College undergrads/graduate students, as well as high schoolers are all welcome to attend!

Requirements

We only require that you have something to explain to the judges! Your submission can just be a description of your project with pictures if no code was written / there's no repository to link

Register beforehand at hakron.io (this is preferable), or register at the door!

Judging Criteria

  • Expo Judging
    All Devpost submissions will demo their projects in an Expo to hackers and judges. The top 5 will be selected by the judges (using MIT Gavel) and sent on to the presentation round.
  • Presentation Round (Top 5)
    The top 5 teams will present their projects in front of everyone to determine the winners of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall prizes.
  • Category Prize Judging
    Other category winners will be individually judged based on the Expo. See the prizes in the sidebar ->
